How to troubleshoot/ repair conventional fluorescent/ modern Led tube light?

Dear Readers,

In this article, we will learn how we can check and troubleshoot the Tube Light. As we all know that there are 3 types of tube lights as we have seen which are conventional fluorescent tube light, Electronics chowk with conventional fluorescent tube light & LED tube light. We can install as well as troubleshoot all 3 tube lights on your own at home.

So Let's start

 Tools Required:

1Multi-Meter :

2Plier :

3.Tester :

4. Stripper & Isolation Tape :

5. Series Bulb Testing :

#1. Troubleshooting the Electonic Chowk with conventional Tube Light :

Step 1 :
Test The Tube By Multi-Meter :
1. Set the multimeter on continuity mode.
2. Test both side terminals on continuity mode.
3. If four terminals are inter-connected to each other and beeps, then the tube is not faulty.
4. If anyone terminal is disconnected, then we would change the tube.

Step 2 :
Test The Chowk By Multi-Meter :
1. Connect chowk to AC power supply.
2. Set the multi-meter at voltage mode.
3. Test the output terminals of chowk that the output voltage is shown or not.
4. If the voltage has appeared it means that your chowk is in good condition.
5. If the voltage does not appear it means that your chowk is faulty.

Step 3 :
Troubleshoot The Chowk :
1. Chowk contains a DC power supply in the chowk.
2. If you are able to troubleshoot power supply then it is good otherwise you must change the chowk.

Step 4 :
Test The Continuity of Wires :
1. Set the multi-meter at continuity mode.
2. Test the continuity of wires.
3. Change the wires to those who are disjoint in between.

Troubleshooting The Conventional Tube Light with inductive Chowk & Starter element:

Step 1 :
Test The Tube By Multi-Meter :
1. Set the multi-meter at continuity mode.
2. Test the terminals inter-connected or not.
3. If four terminals are inter-connected to each other, then the tube is not faulty.

5. If the voltage is not appeared it means that your chowk is faulty then you must change the chowk.

Step 3 :
Test The Continuity of Wires :
1. Set the multi-meter at continuity mode.
2. Test the continuity of wires.
3. Change the wires to those who are disjoint in between.

Step 4 :
Test The Starter :
1. Set the multi-meter at continuity mode.
2. Test the continuity of the starter.
3. If the starter is not faulty then find something else fault.

Troubleshooting The LED Tube Light :

Step 1 :
Test The Power Supply By Multi-Meter :
1. Test the output of the supply that has appeared at the output terminal.
2. If the output is available so that is good.
3. If the output is not available then try to find out the fault in the supply.

Step 2 :
Test The LEDs By Multi-Meter :
1. Test the LEDs are working or not.
2. If you find the fault in any LED then change it.

 Precautions:

1. Test the components carefully.
2. Carefully use the power supply.
