How relay works? explained in detail with hindi video

What is a relay?

The relay is an electromechanical device widely used at many places as a switch or as an actuator power supplying control gateway.

The main motive of this device is to isolate the control circuit and provide sufficient power to the output actuator but in a controlled manner with respect to the given signal to the relay.

The comes in various types and a different operating voltage having different conducting capacity, in order to act as an efficient switch, or how much power it can handle such as single-phase 220/110 VAC or 3phase 440 VAC with the high current rating.

Where relay is used:

The relay is mostly used in the vacation systems like Embedded, Automation & robotics, PLC.

The advantages of Relay:

  1. Small Size
  2. Isolate control circuit from OUTPUT
  3. Low-cost power driver
  4. Rugged & can be used in extremely harsh conditions

Types of the relay:

  1. Inductive type relay, magnetic relay,
  2. Solid-state relay
  3. hybrid relay
  4. Thermal relay
  5. Reed relay
